Aalto is an undeniable benchmark in Ribera del Duero, famous for elevating the Tinto Fino grape to a level of exceptional concentration, modernity, and luxury. ● Founded in 1999 by Mariano García (former winemaker at the legendary Vega Sicilia) and Javier Zaccagnini, the Aalto winery redefined the Ribera del Duero style. The producer focuses exclusively on the Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grape, sourced from old vines spread across several plots in the Burgos and Valladolid provinces. Its reds are famous for their impenetrable color, sumptuous tannins, masterful use of wood, and deep aromatic complexity.
