Cognac

Cognac is French AOC brandy exclusively from the Cognac region, double distilled in Charentais copper stills from high-acidity wines, mainly Ugni Blanc.

● Ageing in Limousin or Tronçais oak determines VS (Very Special), VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) and XO (Extra Old), with layers of vanilla, dried fruit, spices and the much-appreciated rancio. Crus such as Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Borderies lend refinement or depth. It should be served neat in a tulip glass.
