Dark, dense but extraordinary balanced. Great structure, with dark chocolate, dark plums and black berries. Spicy and with an intense and very long after taste. It’s a wine with a long and auspicious life in front.

Avaliação dos PeritosSobre o Produtor Alves de Sousa
The ultimate benchmark in the Douro scene, Alves de Sousa, creator of the mythical Quinta da Gaivosa, has led the affirmation of great terroir wines in Portugal for decades. ● Domingos Alves de Sousa was an absolute pioneer, deciding to bottle the wines from his family's estates instead of selling the grapes for Port wine, changing the region's history. By focusing on the Baixo Corgo and the uniqueness of old vines, the producer designs wines of unparalleled structure and personality. From imposing reds capable of aging for decades to sophisticated White Ports, the Alves de Sousa family represents Douro luxury and authenticity, repeatedly distinguished as "Producer of the Year".
