Touriga Franca

Touriga Franca is the most widely planted and one of the most valuable grapes in the Douro, serving as the fundamental foundation for the region’s great Port wines and top reds. This red grape is celebrated for its intense color, firm tannins, and a very elegant aromatic profile, dominated by notes of black fruits, wild flowers (rockrose), and spices. On the palate, Touriga Franca provides structure, volume, and remarkable longevity to blends. It is a resilient and noble variety that prizes balance and harmony, reflecting the essence of the Douro terroir.
