Born from a family passion at Quinta da Cruz, on the left bank of Folgosa do Douro, Bugalha creates terroir wines of extreme elegance and complexity. ● Founded by the Barata family in the early 2000s, Quinta da Cruz is the birthplace of the Bugalha brand, an intimate family project in the Douro region. With the contribution of winemaker Carlos Raposo, the producer focuses on enhancing recovered vines between 320 and 380 meters in altitude. Its approach results in mineral, fresh, and creamy whites, and structured reds where wood and acidity are in perfect harmony. It is a testament to dedication that results in a striking wine, designed for long bottle aging.
