Bual, or Boal, is one of the noble grapes that defines the prestige of Madeira wines, sitting within the medium-sweet spectrum. This white grape is harvested with high sugar levels, translating into wines of extraordinary aromatic richness with notes of vanilla, coffee, dried fruits, and spices. Through cask aging, Bual develops a citrus acidity that balances its sweetness, resulting in a structured, opulent wine with the capacity to age for over a century.
