About the Producer Hoteis Alexandre de Almeida

Owner of the mythical Buçaco (Bussaco) wines, the Alexandre de Almeida group is the guardian of a legendary enological heritage, creating classically inspired, age-worthy wines. ● The winemaking tradition of Hoteis Alexandre de Almeida is intrinsically linked to the Palace Hotel do Bussaco. Since the early 20th century, these iconic wines are made with the finest grapes from Bairrada and Dão, fermented and aged in the palace's own cellars. With deep reds and immortal whites (Encruzado, Maria Gomes, and Bical), Buçaco wines never followed trends. They are bottled works of art, famous for aristocratic longevity and providing one of the world's purest classic wine experiences.
