Tinta Caiada is a resilient and characterful red grape variety, primarily grown in Alentejo, where it benefits from the hot climate to express its nobility. Known in France as Lledoner Pelut, this grape produces intense ruby-colored wines with captivating aromas of wild red fruits and aromatic herb notes. On the palate, Tinta Caiada stands out for its polished tannins and balanced acidity, providing freshness and elegance. It is a variety that adds structure and liveliness to regional blended wines, revealing a sophisticated profile and excellent gastronomic potential.
