Bonarda
Bonarda is the second most planted red grape in Argentina, where it found an ideal terroir to shine beyond its European origins. It is characterized by deep-colored wines with silky tannins and an explosion of ripe black fruit and fig notes. Unlike Malbec, Bonarda offers a subtle herbaceous freshness and softer tannins, resulting in very food-friendly and approachable wines. When aged in oak, it develops elegant notes of chocolate and sweet spices.
