Herdade da Maroteira is the creator of the mythical ‘Cem Reis’, one of the most acclaimed and coveted Syrah wines that put Alentejo on the international map.

● Just a few kilometers from Redondo, the Anglo-Portuguese influenced estate revealed a perfect terroir for the Syrah grape. Initially dedicated to exporting grapes, Maroteira decided to launch its own brand in the early 2000s with the iconic Cem Reis wine. With minuscule and meticulous production, the winery signs red wines of luxurious opulence, velvety texture, and monumental concentration of black fruits, perfectly integrated with barrel aging. It is a mandatory choice for those wishing to taste the highest exponent of Alentejo density and refinement.
