Tinta da Barca is a robust and historic red grape variety from the Douro, named after the village of Barca d’Alva. This grape is valued for its resilience and the tannic structure it provides to traditional Port and regional red blends. With intense aromas of black fruits and a spicy touch, Tinta da Barca offers full-bodied wines with excellent aging potential. On the palate, it stands out for its strength and persistent character, serving as an essential piece in preserving the identity of hillside vineyards where nature expresses itself with vigor and nobility.
