Petit Verdot is the red grape of precision and detail, traditionally used in Bordeaux to provide color, structure, and a spicy touch to the most prestigious blends. As a late-ripening variety, it requires sun and patience to reveal its nobility, producing deep-colored wines with seductive aromas of violets, blackcurrant, and spices. On the palate, Petit Verdot stands out for its firm tannins and vibrant acidity. While often a supporting grape, it has gained prominence as a varietal in warmer climates, offering imposing, elegant wines with excellent aging potential.
