Alvarinho is the queen of the Minho region, with its birthplace in Monção and Melgaço, and is internationally recognized for its nobility. It produces structured white wines with vibrant acidity and an aromatic complexity that ranges from citrus and peach to tropical notes. Its strong mineral component, combined with a luscious body, gives it a distinct elegance. It is one of the few Portuguese white varieties with extraordinary aging potential, developing layers of honey and dried fruits over time.
