Cabernet Franc is one of the world’s most elegant red grapes and the ancestor of the famous Cabernet Sauvignon. Originating in Bordeaux and the Loire Valley, it stands out for its freshness and seductive aromas of violets, graphite, and black pepper. Its wines are typically lighter in tannin and body than those of its offspring but offer unique liveliness and elegance. While a key component in classic blends, it shines brightly as a varietal wine for its finesse and distinct herbaceous character.
