With a "troubled" beginning, his austere and unique structure becomes elegant with the aging time in barrel and bottle, developing his potential. It is a very elegant and long structure in mouth like a few others. The small percentage of Rabigato gives “definition” to the aroma and mouth through its acidity. The parcels are located at 600 m altitude and 300 m altitude in the Douro Superior. The grapes are harvested manually in September in cases of 20 kg. In the cellar they spend 12 hours on a cooling chamber at 10ºC. After being de-stemmed the grapes are fermented (the two varieties together) in a steel vat with indigenous yeasts. The wine matures in 225 litters used barrels for 3 years. During the maturing process the wine is not moved in order to respect the character of the wine. The wine matures in bottle during 1 year.
