Very intense purple colour. In the nose we perceive a great complexity of aromas – liquorice, tobacco, noble woods, spices, pain grillé and black berries- although a little close at the moment, it will develop in the bottle in the coming years. In the mouth this wine offers density and structure, with plenty of silky tannins that provide finesse and elegance as would be expected in a great vintage. The time spent in new oak has brought depth to the wine but has not covered any of its freshness. Acidity and alcohol balance each other in a harmonious and lengthy wine, that will no doubt evolve, gaining complexity over many years to come.
