Made with grapes from the Upper Douro, from a Centennial Vineyard planted in the 19th century, at almost 800m altitude, this wine fermented spontaneously, without temperature control, in a 700L barrel and where it remained for 10 months in the total lees. We are talking about + -15 castes that make up this white, namely, Folgazão (Terrantez), Dona Blanca, Verdelho, Syria, Malvazia Rei, and others that are yet to be identified. It was bottled without filtering or stabilizing. It is a numbered edition limited to 1,193 bottles. I think we are facing a wine that I have no memory of having tasted anything like it, especially because of the natural and subtle way that it presents itself.
