The autumn of 2014 was rainy, which allowed the replenishment of water reserves in the soil. Until the beginning of the winter it rained slightly more than 50% of the annual average, it brought us optimism for the winter and the following year. However the winter was dry, and the autumn rainfall proved insufficient to guarantee a reserve of water for the coming year. Thus, the beginning of the vegetative cycle of the vineyard was difficult, with rainfall at the beginning of May (about 40 mm) being fundamental to balance the water balance. A period of low precipitation followed by only 25 mm by the end of August. The summer of 2015 was one of the driest we have recorded, albeit with temperatures below those sometimes recorded in Meão, which allowed the plants to more easily exceed the low levels of water in the soil, but led to a beginning of early harvest . We started the harvest on August 19th with the Rabigato variety. The harvest of the reds began on August 24 with the variety Tinta Amarela. The end of August brought not very hot days and very cool nights, which allowed to slow down the vintage and take advantage of these conditions. The harvest lasted until October 1st and the result was wines of exceptional quality, with color loaded and aromatic very interesting. Excellent color, very lively. Floral aromas combined with red and wild fruits. It fills its mouth with intense notes of fruit, showing a prolonged mouth very fresh and complex.
