Vieira de sousa +40 years old tawny port is produced with grapes from our old vineyards along the douro river. It is fermented with foot treading in lagares. After fortification with grape brandy the wine ages for many years in casks and in old oak vats in our winery in the douro valley.
Beautiful brown colour with a brown rim and a touch of green - very characteristic in old tawny ports. On the nose, a wine from another era but very much alive and delicate. A fabulous concentration of coffee and liqueur which comes through on the palate with long spirity finish.
