More info

Kamairicha Kanaya Midori is a Japanese tea whose leaves are prepared by being dry heated rather than steamed. The name comes from Kama, which means an iron pan and thus Kamairicha means the tea of the pan. Nowadays, it is very rare to prepare the Kamairicha by hand in a pan. This Kamairicha is from the Miyazaki prefecture, in southern Japan, and comes from the leaves of the Kanaya Midori tea plant. The tea is very surprising and a different style of Japanese green tea, as it produces a very green, complex yet delicate infusion.
