PT070Nero d'Avola is one of the most important grape varieties in Italy. Originally from southern Sicily, it came to Monte da Ravasqueira by the hand of its founder José Manuel de Mello, in the relentless pursuit of indifferent terroir exploration and production of atypical and challenging wines. In vintage 2012 this desire was translated, revealing a unique and rare wine in Portugal that keeps the characteristics of origin but expresses well the unique freshness and mineral character of our grapes.

100% Nero d'Avola, in 2013 it was revealed precocious and rapidly maturing. Acidity, aromatic intensity and density of the tannins are adjectives that best characterize the grapes this year. Harvested manually and subjected to a lowering of the temperature before vinification.
