This Monte da Comenda Grande produced wine predominantly contains the Trincadeira, Aragonês and Alicante Bouschet varieties. Obtained by vinification at a controlled temperature and with prolonged maceration before subsequently maturing in new oak barrels. A wine with an intense garnet colour, a fine aroma of mature fruits and notes of vanilla with the woody hints not overwhelming the fruitiness. Tasting reveals a slight acidity and clear tannin with a prolonged and persistent ending. This should be served at the temperature of 18ºC in a glass appropriate to enhancing the finery of its characteristics. This wine was not subject to stabilisation and hence, with the passage of time, may come to display traces of deposit.
